Danny started his musical journey at age 8 studying the trumpet with encouragement from his father who was a pianist. He then later moved on to discover the guitar and after playing mostly classical and rock Danny developed a passion for jazz, studying for a music degree with like minded musicians in Newcastle.

In his 20's Danny played for many artists as a session guitarist which provided opportunity to perform many of the UK’s most prestigious venues such as Birmingham Symphony Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Latitude Festival and recently the famous Ronnie Scotts Jazz club.

Still currently active as a freelance guitarist, Danny is regularly invited to perform with high profile groups such as Opera North, Sheffield Pops Orchestra and also a recent guitar session for BBC's Songs Of Praise. Danny is also a tutor at Sheffield University and with over a million YouTube views the interest in Danny’s music is growing daily.

Depending on your budget Danny can perform either solo with top quality backing tracks or as a trio which adds a second guitarist and double bass. The key benefits of the trio is the interaction between the musicians both musically and visually plus an increased impact in terms of volume.

When working as a trio Danny utilises a large network of top jazz musicians and where possible will use local musicians in order to minimise travel costs whilst also reducing the groups carbon footprint.

Danny has a large repertoire which features many songs from the gypsy jazz songbook with a few surprises thrown in to keep the listeners on their toes. You can expect lots of foot tapping with Danny's classic vintage vibes.
